# Ingredients:

→ Core Items

01 - ½ cup packed dark brown sugar
02 - 2 bananas, halved lengthwise
03 - 3 tablespoons of butter
04 - ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
05 - 3 tablespoons finely chopped pecans or walnuts
06 - 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
07 - 2 tablespoons of rum

→ To Top It Off

08 - Vanilla ice cream made with real vanilla bean

# Instructions:

01 - Put a medium-sized skillet on medium heat and melt the butter. Stir in the cinnamon, dark brown sugar, vanilla, and rum. Let it bubble gently, then toss in banana slices and nuts.
02 - Allow the bananas to caramelize for about four minutes per side, flipping gently to keep them intact and avoid sticking.
03 - Take the skillet off the stove and pour the warm mixture over scoops of vanilla ice cream right away.
04 - If using a gas stovetop: Follow the same steps but skip the rum initially. Shut off the burner, pour in the rum, then relight the stovetop. If flames don't catch, carefully tilt the skillet until they do. Let the fire die down while shaking the pan lightly.

# Notes:

01 - Be cautious when flambéing to ensure safety.
02 - Walnuts or pecans work well—choose whichever you prefer.
03 - For the best experience, serve while everything is hot and fresh.
