5-Ingredient Baked Ziti (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (dried)
02 - 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded (use some later)
03 - 1 (24-ounce) jar marinara sauce from Primal Kitchen
04 - 1/2 pound lean ground beef
05 - 1/2 pound mild Italian sausage, bulk
06 - 12 ounces of your favorite pasta

→ Optional Toppings

07 - Grated Parmesan cheese
08 - Fresh basil leaves

→ Optional Vegetables

09 - 3-4 cups of mixed veggies (spinach, zucchini, broccoli, or onion)

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F. Give your 9x13-inch baking pan a good spray with cooking oil.
02 - Cook up the sausage and beef in a skillet on medium-high. If you’re adding veggies, toss them in now. Get rid of any fat that’s left.
03 - Boil pasta in salted water until it’s tender but still firm. Drain it and put it straight into your greased baking pan.
04 - Stir together pasta, the cooked meat mix, marinara, 1 cup of cheese, and the Italian seasoning. Spread it out and sprinkle any leftover cheese on top.
05 - Cover the pan with foil. Let it bake for 15 minutes. Then uncover it and bake another 5-10 minutes so the cheese melts and bubbles.
