Sweet air fryer bananas (Print Version)

Thin banana slices turned into crispy chips, lightly coated in cinnamon and sugar, ready in minutes with an air fryer. A great option to skip store-bought snacks.

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 2 bananas, medium-sized and just firm
02 - 1 tablespoon white sugar
03 - 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
04 - 1 tablespoon melted butter or coconut oil

# Steps:

01 - Use a peeler to remove the banana skin, then cut them into thin rounds about 1/8 inch thick. A sharp knife or mandoline slicer makes this easier to keep the cuts consistent.
02 - Grab a small bowl and stir together the sugar and cinnamon until it's fully blended.
03 - Brush both sides of the banana pieces lightly with the melted butter or coconut oil. Sprinkle your sugar-cinnamon mix over both sides evenly.
04 - Lay the banana slices in a single layer inside the air fryer basket without overlapping. Work in shifts if necessary, depending on the size of your fryer.
05 - Set your air fryer at 300°F (150°C) and cook for about 10-15 minutes. Flip the slices halfway through. Start checking once they hit 12 minutes—they should be golden, slightly crunchy, and will crisp up more after cooling.
06 - Transfer the banana chips to a cooling rack and let them cool completely. Once they've cooled, munch on them right away or store in a sealed container for up to 3 days.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - Bananas that are just ripe and still firm give the best results. If they're too soft, they won't crisp up fully.
02 - Feel free to tweak the sugar and cinnamon amounts to match your taste. If you'd prefer, swap the sugar for a natural option like stevia or monk fruit.
03 - If the chips aren't crunchy enough, keep cooking them in 2-minute intervals. Keep an eye on them to avoid any burning.
