# Ingredients:

01 - ⅓ cup of your favorite BBQ sauce
02 - Boneless, skinless chicken thighs (1 ½ pounds)
03 - Cooking spray that prevents sticking

→ Spice Rub

04 - A pinch of cayenne for heat (optional)
05 - ½ teaspoon of black pepper
06 - ½ teaspoon of chili powder
07 - ½ teaspoon of salt
08 - ½ teaspoon of smoky paprika or regular
09 - ½ teaspoon of garlic powder
10 - ½ teaspoon of onion powder

# Steps:

01 - Set your air fryer to 375°F and let it warm up.
02 - Trim off any extra fat from the chicken pieces.
03 - Combine the spices in a bowl, then coat both sides of the chicken thoroughly.
04 - Lightly spritz the basket of your air fryer with cooking spray. Place the chicken in a single layer, cook for 7 minutes, flip the pieces, and cook for another 7 minutes.
05 - Spread BBQ sauce generously on one side, flip the chicken, and brush sauce on the other. Cook for 2-3 more minutes or until the internal temp hits 165°F.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - Keep the air fryer basket from being too full for even cooking.
02 - Make sure the chicken reaches 165°F for safety.
