02 - 1/2 yellow onion, finely chopped
03 - 1/4 cup hamburger pickles, chopped
04 - 1 teaspoon kosher salt
05 - 1/4 teaspoon coarse ground pepper
06 - 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

→ McDonald's Secret Sauce

07 - 1 cup mayonnaise
08 - 1/4 cup French dressing
09 - 2 tablespoons sweet relish
10 - 1 tablespoon ketchup
11 - 1 teaspoon white vinegar
12 - 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
13 - 1/8 teaspoon salt

→ To Assemble (Double Decker)

14 - 8 hamburger buns (with seeds)
15 - 2 cups iceberg lettuce, shredded
16 - 12 hamburger pickle chips
17 - 4 slices American cheese
18 - Additional sauce, optional

# Steps:

01 - Brown the ground beef halfway, about 3-4 minutes, in a large skillet. Add chopped onions, kosher salt, coarse ground pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook until fully browned, about 3-4 additional minutes. Stir in chopped pickles.
02 - In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, French dressing, sweet relish, ketchup, white vinegar, onion powder, and salt. Mix well until smooth.
03 - Add 1 cup of prepared secret sauce to the skillet with the ground beef mixture. Stir well. Reserve the remaining sauce for the buns.
04 - Stack the mixture on sesame seed hamburger buns in a double-decker style. Layer with shredded iceberg lettuce, hamburger pickle chips, and a slice of American cheese. Top with additional sauce if desired.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - For a true Big Mac experience, layer the buns with a middle bun slice for the double-decker effect.
