Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and get it warming up. Slice potatoes into thin circles, about ¼ inch thick.

Warm olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Throw in the onion and garlic, cooking until soft. Add the ground beef, sprinkle in paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, and cook until fully browned.

Coat a baking dish with a bit of oil. Lay down half the sliced potatoes, followed by half the beef mixture, and sprinkle on half of the cheddar cheese. Make another layer with the rest of the potatoes, beef, and cheese. Pour the beef broth on top (and milk if you want creaminess).

Cover the dish with foil and bake for 35-40 minutes. Take off the foil, sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top, and bake for another 10 minutes to get a golden crust.

Give it 5 minutes to cool down a bit before serving. Add some chopped parsley on top, and dig into this cheesy, satisfying meal!
