Layers of seasoned beef, thin potatoes, and gooey melted cheese create a quick, filling meal. Budget-friendly and ready fast, it’s a win for any night of the week.

# Ingredients:

→ Casserole Base

01 - 1 tbsp olive oil
02 - ½ cup beef broth
03 - 1 medium onion, chopped
04 - 4–5 medium potatoes, sliced thin
05 - ¼ cup milk (optional)
06 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
07 - 1 lb ground beef

→ Toppings & Seasoning

08 - Fresh parsley for serving
09 - 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
10 - ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
11 - 1 tsp Italian seasoning
12 - Salt & pepper to taste
13 - ½ tsp paprika

# Steps:

01 - Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and get it warming up. Slice potatoes into thin circles, about ¼ inch thick.
02 - Warm olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Throw in the onion and garlic, cooking until soft. Add the ground beef, sprinkle in paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, and cook until fully browned.
03 - Coat a baking dish with a bit of oil. Lay down half the sliced potatoes, followed by half the beef mixture, and sprinkle on half of the cheddar cheese. Make another layer with the rest of the potatoes, beef, and cheese. Pour the beef broth on top (and milk if you want creaminess).
04 - Cover the dish with foil and bake for 35-40 minutes. Take off the foil, sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top, and bake for another 10 minutes to get a golden crust.
05 - Give it 5 minutes to cool down a bit before serving. Add some chopped parsley on top, and dig into this cheesy, satisfying meal!

# Helpful Notes:

01 - Add heavy cream or extra cheese for an even richer flavor.
02 - Slicing the potatoes thin makes cooking more even.
03 - For a spicier kick, toss in some red pepper flakes.
