Hawaiian Bun Cheeseburger Sliders (Print Version)

Tender beef and gooey cheese stacked on fluffy Hawaiian rolls, brushed with a tangy buttery topping. Comes together fast and great for sharing.

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 teaspoons olive oil.
02 - 8 slices cheddar cheese.
03 - 12 Hawaiian rolls.
04 - 2 teaspoons sesame seeds.
05 - 1 tablespoon brown sugar.
06 - 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard.
07 - 2 tablespoons butter.
08 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper.
09 - 1 teaspoon kosher salt.
10 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder.
11 - 2 tablespoons BBQ sauce or ketchup.
12 - 2 tablespoons mayonnaise.
13 - 1 medium onion, finely chopped.
14 - 1 pound lean ground beef.

# Steps:

01 - Put the pan in with no cover and leave it for 12 to 15 minutes. Take it out when it's warmed all the way through.
02 - Stir together brown sugar, butter and the Dijon in a small bowl. Slather it over the rolls and toss those sesame seeds on top.
03 - Slice the rolls through the middle. Lay down some cheese, then plop on the beef mix, and finish with another layer of cheese before popping the tops back on.
04 - After that, add in the mayo, BBQ sauce, garlic powder, a bit of salt, and the black pepper. Give it a solid stir so it’s all combined.
05 - Get the onion in a pan and cook until you see some color. Toss in your beef and stir it around until it’s cooked. When the fat pools up, just drain it off.
06 - Fire up your oven to 350F. Put parchment or foil in your dish and swipe on butter if you want.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - You can prep this ahead and stash it in the freezer up to three months.
02 - Swap out the bread or cheese with whatever kind you like.
03 - Easily double it or cut it in half if you need a bigger or smaller batch.
