Set your oven to 350°F (176°C) to preheat.

In a small bowl, stir garlic into the melted butter until smooth.

Grab a sharp knife. Cut criss-cross lines on the bread’s top, stopping 1-inch from the base, forming diamonds. Don’t go all the way through!

Put the loaf on a foil-lined or parchment-lined baking sheet.

First, drizzle half the butter mixture between bread cuts, then spoon in pizza sauce. Layer mozzarella, basil, onion, pepperoni, and chopped tomato into the cracks.

Pour what’s left of the buttery mix on top and sprinkle herbs over everything.

Cover bread with foil and let it bake for 15–20 minutes so the cheese gets gooey.

Remove the foil. Bake for another 10 minutes until the bread crisps up and cheese browns just right.
