Set your oven to 375°F and let it heat up.

Cook the ziti according to the package directions. Make sure it's firm but not overdone.

In a large bowl, combine 1-½ cups of pasta sauce, ricotta cheese, 1 cup of shredded mozzarella, one egg, garlic, Italian seasoning, and pepper.

Pour ½ cup of pasta sauce into a 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Add the cooked pasta along with the ricotta mix, stirring lightly. Spread the last cup of sauce on top, sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella, and then the Pecorino Romano. Cover with foil.

Put in the oven covered for 25 minutes. Take off the foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes until everything is melty and bubbling. Once out of the oven, let it sit undisturbed for 10 minutes.
