Warm Fudge Pudding Cake (Print Version)

A soft chocolate cake that bakes into a luscious fudge sauce. Tastes amazing warm with vanilla ice cream!

# Ingredients:

→ Cake Mixture

01 - 1/2 cup regular sugar
02 - 1/4 teaspoon table salt
03 - 2 teaspoons leavening powder
04 - 1/4 cup cocoa (unsweetened)
05 - 1 cup plain flour
06 - 4 tablespoons melted butter (unsalted)
07 - 1 large egg yolk
08 - 1/2 cup whole milk
09 - 2 teaspoons vanilla flavoring
10 - 1/2 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet)

→ Chocolate Sauce Layer

11 - 1/2 cup white sugar
12 - 1/4 cup powdered cocoa
13 - 1 cup hot water

# Steps:

01 - Turn your oven on to 350°F (175°C). Coat an 8-inch square pan with nonstick spray.
02 - Combine the sugar (1/2 cup) and cocoa (1/4 cup) in a bowl. Set it aside for later.
03 - Blend all dry ingredients together. In another bowl, mix wet ones. Merge the two gently, then toss in the chocolate chips.
04 - Put the batter in the pan, sprinkle over the cocoa-sugar combo, and carefully pour boiling water on top. Don’t mix!
05 - Bake for 22-24 mins until the top cracks and the sauce starts bubbling. Rest for 10 mins and enjoy warm.
