Classic Margherita Pizza Crust (Print Version)

Thin crust topped with tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil for an Italian favorite ready in just 30 minutes.

# Ingredients:

→ Pizza Dough

01 - 500g Tipo '00' flour
02 - 350ml lukewarm water
03 - 1 tsp active dry yeast
04 - 1 1/2 tsp salt

→ Toppings

05 - 1 cup canned San Marzano tomatoes
06 - 4 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, torn into pieces
07 - Fresh basil leaves
08 - Extra virgin olive oil, for drizzling
09 - Salt, to taste

# Steps:

01 - Combine lukewarm water and yeast in a bowl. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
02 - Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture. Knead for 10 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise for 2 hours.
03 - Divide the dough into two balls and shape. Let rest for 1 hour.
04 - Blend San Marzano tomatoes with salt and a drizzle of olive oil to create a smooth sauce.
05 - Place a pizza stone in the oven and heat to 500°F.
06 - Spread tomato sauce over the dough, distribute mozzarella evenly, and bake for 8-10 minutes.
07 - Add fresh basil leaves and a drizzle of olive oil before serving.
