Creamy Cajun Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 2 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless, flattened
02 - 8 ounces of penne pasta

→ Sauce Ingredients

03 - 1 and a half tablespoons Cajun seasoning (split)
04 - 1/3 cup parmesan cheese, grated, plus more for sprinkling
05 - 1 and a half cups of half-and-half
06 - 1 tablespoon regular flour
07 - 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
08 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
09 - 2 tablespoons plain butter

→ Garnish

10 - Salt and pepper (as needed)
11 - Chopped parsley
12 - 1 diced tomato

# Instructions:

01 - Follow the instructions on the penne package to cook it perfectly.
02 - Warm the olive oil in a big pan over medium heat. Sprinkle a tablespoon of Cajun seasoning on both sides of the chicken. Place the breasts in the pan and cook for around 3 minutes per side, or until the inside hits 165°F.
03 - Take the chicken out, wipe the skillet clean, and put it back on medium heat.
04 - Melt the butter in the skillet, toss in the minced garlic and sauté for half a minute. Mix in the flour and cook for another 30 seconds. Slowly pour in the half-and-half, starting with small amounts at first to thicken it up, then add the rest more quickly.
05 - Mix in the parmesan cheese until it melts completely. Add the remaining Cajun seasoning and some salt and pepper to flavor.
06 - Toss the pasta with the sauce. Serve it with sliced chicken on top, and garnish with parsley, tomato, parmesan, and enjoy it right away!

# Notes:

01 - Want it milder? Use less Cajun seasoning.
02 - Tastes best served fresh when the sauce is still silky.
