Creamy Cajun Crockpot Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Chicken & Seasonings

01 - 1 tablespoon Cajun spice for that bold flavor
02 - 1 pound chicken breasts without skin or bones, cut into small pieces
03 - Freshly cracked black pepper and a touch of salt to suit your taste

→ Sauce Base

04 - ½ cup Parmesan cheese, freshly shredded
05 - 1 cup of chicken broth, either from scratch or a store-bought option
06 - 2 cups heavy cream to create a creamy texture

→ Vegetables & Aromatics

07 - 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
08 - 1 bright red bell pepper, sliced into thin strips
09 - 1 green bell pepper, sliced just the same way
10 - 1 cup diced tomatoes that are juicy and ripe

→ Pasta & Garnish

11 - Fresh parsley, roughly chopped for a finishing touch
12 - 8 ounces of penne pasta, uncooked

# Instructions:

01 - Mix the chicken chunks with Cajun spices until they're fully coated. That's your flavorful start!
02 - Place the chicken right into the crock pot. Add the cream, broth, and Parmesan. Throw in the garlic, peppers, and tomatoes. Stir everything together until it's all mixed well.
03 - Cover it up and let it cook gently. Use the low setting for 4-5 hours or the high one for 2-3 hours. The chicken will become super tender as it cooks.
04 - About 15 minutes before finishing up, stir in the pasta. Make sure the liquid covers the noodles, then let it cook for 15-20 minutes until the pasta is perfectly done.
05 - Take a quick taste and adjust seasonings with salt and pepper if needed. Garnish with parsley and dig in!

# Notes:

01 - Looking to make it lighter? Swap heavy cream for half-and-half. It still works beautifully!
02 - Want more veggies? Throw in things like spinach or mushrooms to pack in extra nutrition.
