Creamy Mashed Potatoes (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 3/4 cup heavy cream
02 - 3 oz cream cheese, softened
03 - 3/4 cup milk
04 - Salt and pepper for seasoning
05 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
06 - 3 1/2 pounds of russet potatoes

→ Optional Garnish

07 - Fresh thyme
08 - Sour cream

# Instructions:

01 - Chop potatoes evenly after peeling them. Cover with salted cold water in a pot.
02 - Let the water boil, then simmer them until soft—takes around 15 to 20 minutes. Drain, placing them back into the hot pan.
03 - Warm up the butter, milk, and cream together. Add cream cheese, stirring it in until blended.
04 - Mash the potatoes, pouring in the heated cream mix slowly until smooth.
05 - Add salt and pepper to your taste. Sprinkle on any garnish you like.

# Notes:

01 - Start cooking in cold water.
02 - You can make it ahead.
03 - Using warmed dairy gives better results.
