Easy Air Donuts (Print Version)

Soft, airy donuts made effortlessly in an air fryer. Coated with a vanilla glaze, they're just as good as bakery ones, but healthier.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup of warm milk (around 100°F).
02 - 2 ½ teaspoons of dry yeast, active.
03 - 1 teaspoon plus ¼ cup granulated sugar.
04 - ½ teaspoon of regular salt.
05 - 1 large egg.
06 - ¼ cup of butter, melted and unsalted.
07 - 3 cups of all-purpose flour.
08 - A can of coconut oil cooking spray.
09 - 6 tablespoons of butter for the topping.
10 - 2 cups powdered confectioners’ sugar.
11 - 2 teaspoons of pure vanilla.
12 - 4 tablespoons hot tap water.

# Steps:

01 - Combine yeast, warm milk, and 1 teaspoon of sugar and wait 10 minutes for it to foam up.
02 - Stir in the egg, melted butter, salt, the rest of the sugar, and 2 cups of the flour. Gradually add the last cup of flour until combined.
03 - Work the dough on medium speed for 5 minutes until it’s stretchy and smooth.
04 - Move dough to a lightly greased bowl, cover with cling film, and leave it until it doubles in size.
05 - Roll the dough to about ½ inch thick and use a 3-inch cutter for the donuts, plus a smaller one for holes.
06 - Let your donut shapes rest for 30 minutes to puff up nicely.
07 - Spray donuts with oil and cook at 350°F for 4 minutes until golden brown.
08 - Melt butter, mix in vanilla and powdered sugar, then thin it out with hot water.
09 - Dip freshly fried donuts into the glaze and let them cool on a rack.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - Milk should feel warm, not hot, if tested on your skin.
02 - If dough doesn’t spring back from a poke, it’s ready.
03 - Coconut cooking spray gives the best results.
