Frozen Margarita Pie Dessert (Print Version)

Chilled margarita-inspired pie blends creamy lime filling with crisp pretzel crust for a cooling citrus dessert.

# Ingredients:

→ Crust

01 - 1 cup finely crushed pretzels
02 - 1/4 cup white sugar
03 - 1/3 cup margarine, melted

→ Filling

04 - 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
05 - 1/3 cup frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
06 - 2 tablespoons tequila
07 - 1 tablespoon orange liqueur
08 - 3 drops green food coloring, or as needed (optional)
09 - 1 cup heavy cream
10 - 1 lime, sliced (optional)

# Steps:

01 - Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
02 - Combine pretzels and sugar in a bowl. Stir in melted margarine and mix until evenly incorporated and moistened. Press the mixture into the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie plate.
03 - Bake the crust in the preheated oven until the edges are lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Remove and cool on a wire rack.
04 - Combine sweetened condensed milk, limeade concentrate, tequila, orange liqueur, and green food coloring in a large bowl. Mix until well blended.
05 - In a separate bowl, beat heavy cream with an electric mixer until soft peaks form. Fold the whipped cream into the condensed milk mixture.
06 - Spoon the filling into the cooled crust. Cover the pie with plastic wrap and freeze until firm, about 4 hours.
07 - Let the pie stand at room temperature for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with lime slices, if desired.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - Allow the pie to thaw slightly at room temperature before serving for the best texture.
