Garlic Bread Pasta Boat (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base Layer of Bread

01 - 1 loaf of Italian bread, 16 oz
02 - Butter and garlic powder for the bread

→ Sauce with Meat

03 - 1 lb ground sausage
04 - 1 lb ground beef
05 - 1 medium onion, chopped small
06 - 16 oz can of tomato sauce
07 - 6 oz tomato paste
08 - ½ tsp fresh minced garlic

→ Cheese & Pasta

09 - ⅔ cup Mozzarella, split equally in two
10 - 7 oz dry spaghetti
11 - ½ cup Parmesan, divided into two equal parts

→ Flavor Boosters

12 - A heaping tablespoon of Italian herbs
13 - 1 tsp of salt, with an extra pinch
14 - ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven temperature to 375°F and let it heat thoroughly.
02 - Cook spaghetti in boiling water until it's just tender but still firm (al dente). Drain well and take it off the heat.
03 - In a big skillet, cook the sausage and beef over medium heat, adding onion partway through. Drain extra grease, then return meat to the pan. Stir in garlic, paste, tomato sauce, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-8 mins. Stir in cooked pasta, mix completely, and set aside.
04 - Slice the loaf lengthwise into two halves. Use your hands or a utensil to scoop out the insides, leaving deep hollows. Brush the entire inside cavity and outer edges with butter, then sprinkle garlic powder all over. Toast in the oven until crispy.
05 - Once the bread is nice and crunchy, spoon the pasta and meat mixture into the hollows, packing it in completely. Sprinkle one half of the divided cheeses over each hollowed loaf.
06 - Pop them in the 375°F oven for 15-20 minutes. Pull out when the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned. Carefully slice using a serrated knife and serve warm.

# Notes:

01 - You might have extra pasta and meat sauce left over.
02 - You can freeze leftovers to use later.
03 - Toast the bread first to avoid soggy texture.
