Creamy Garlic Chicken Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Chicken Preparation

01 - 2 tablespoons of grated parmesan cheese (light or reduced-fat)
02 - About a pound of boneless chicken tenderloins, diced into bite-size chunks
03 - 1/4 teaspoon to 1/2 teaspoon of crushed chili flakes
04 - A tablespoon of garlic-pepper seasoning mix

→ Pasta and Savory Sauce

05 - 8.5-ounce pack of rotini pasta
06 - 15-ounce can of tomato sauce
07 - 1/2 teaspoon of chili flakes (optional, for added spice)
08 - A tablespoon of sweetener, like Swerve or stevia
09 - 2 tablespoons of garlic-pepper seasoning

# Instructions:

01 - Combine the chili flakes, garlic-pepper seasoning, and parmesan in a bag or container. Toss in the chicken pieces to coat them evenly. Chill in the fridge for half an hour or more.
02 - Spray a skillet with cooking oil and bring to medium-high heat. Place the chicken in the pan, cook for 4 minutes on one side, flip them, then cook for another 2–3 minutes or until cooked through.
03 - In a bowl, stir together the tomato sauce, sweetener, chili flakes, and garlic-pepper seasoning until well blended.
04 - Follow the cooking directions on the pasta package to prepare it.
05 - Combine the prepared pasta and sauce in the skillet with the chicken. Simmer until everything is hot and evenly mixed.

# Notes:

01 - For a twist, try marinating the chicken with 3 tablespoons of Nando’s Garlic Peri-Peri sauce plus 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese.
02 - Prefer convenience? Replace the homemade sauce mix with a pre-made jarred pasta sauce.
