Gooey Caramel Pecan Cake (Print Version)

Layers of caramel, pecans, and buttery crumbles make a decadent dessert that's quick to prep and bake. Perfect for any occasion.

# Ingredients:

→ Pecan Layer

01 - 3 cups of pecan halves
02 - 1/2 cup of melted butter
03 - 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce
04 - 1 cup caramel sauce
05 - 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed tight
06 - 2 eggs, beaten gently

→ Topping

07 - 1 cup butter, melted
08 - 1 box of butter pecan cake mix

# Steps:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 pan with non-stick spray.
02 - In a big bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and both caramel sauces until everything looks smooth.
03 - Add the pecans to the bowl, folding them in so they're spread out well in the mix.
04 - Pour the pecan mixture into the greased baking dish, making sure the pecans are spread evenly across the surface.
05 - Mix the melted butter with the butter pecan cake mix in a new bowl until it forms a crumbly texture. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the pecan base.
06 - Pop the dish into the oven and cook for 25-30 minutes until the top turns golden and the edges are bubbly.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - Let it sit for about 15-20 minutes to cool a bit before cutting into it.
02 - It tastes amazing with vanilla ice cream, a drizzle of extra caramel, or a small dash of sea salt on top.
