Texas Roadhouse Green Beans (Print Version)

Green beans seasoned with bacon, onion, and garlic in a delicious broth. A classic dish, just like the one served at Texas Roadhouse.

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 tablespoon minced garlic
02 - 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
03 - 2 (16-ounce) cans green beans, drained and rinsed
04 - 1/2 cup diced white onion
05 - 6 slices of chopped bacon

→ Seasonings

06 - 1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
07 - 1 teaspoon sugar (granulated)
08 - 1 tablespoon of butter
09 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
10 - 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar

# Steps:

01 - Start by heating a large skillet over medium-high heat. Stir the bacon bits often, cooking them until they’re crispy—takes about 5 or 6 minutes.
02 - Throw the diced onions in with the bacon. Stir everything around and let the onions soften for roughly 5 minutes.
03 - Toss in the green beans, minced garlic, chicken broth, sugar, vinegar, butter, salt, and pepper. Mix it all up until combined nicely.
04 - Lower the heat, pop a lid on, and let it simmer gently. Stir it now and then, and after around 10 minutes, the beans should be tender.
05 - Give it a taste and tweak the seasoning if needed. Dish it up while it’s warm.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - Low-carb sweetener works fine for keto-friendly swaps.
02 - For classic flavor, stick with canned green beans.
03 - If regular broth is used, ease up on the salt.
