Sticky, sweet-salty chicken with shoyu, garlic, ginger, and brown sugar, baked to perfection with island flair.

# Ingredients:

01 - 5 chicken thighs, bone-in and skin-on
02 - 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
03 - 2 tablespoons water
04 - 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
05 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
06 - 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
07 - 1/2 yellow onion, minced
08 - 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

# Steps:

01 - Mix together all the ingredients in a large bowl or a large resealable plastic bag and let the chicken marinate overnight.
02 - Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
03 - Place the marinated chicken in a baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
