Honey Garlic Pork (Print Version)

Juicy pork in a honey-garlic glaze with herbs, seared and roasted until golden.

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 2 tablespoons butter or olive oil
02 - 1 pound pork tenderloin

→ Herbs & Spices

03 - ½ teaspoon onion powder
04 - 1 tablespoon minced rosemary
05 - ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
06 - 1 tablespoon minced thyme
07 - ½ teaspoon garlic powder
08 - ½ teaspoon chili powder
09 - ½ teaspoon salt

→ Glaze

10 - 3 tablespoons brown sugar
11 - ½ cup low-sodium soy sauce
12 - 2 tablespoons water
13 - 1 tablespoon finely chopped garlic
14 - 1 tablespoon cornstarch
15 - ⅓ cup fresh-squeezed orange juice
16 - ½ cup honey

# Steps:

01 - Set oven to 350°F. Trim any excess fat from pork and poke small holes using a fork to let flavors sink in.
02 - Mix orange juice, soy sauce, honey, garlic, and all the herbs together. Cover the tenderloin completely with this blend.
03 - Warm butter in a skillet that can go in the oven. Sear the pork on every side until it has a golden crust, about 2-3 minutes per side.
04 - Move the skillet to the oven and cook the tenderloin for 18 to 20 minutes until it's done.
05 - Gently heat up the rest of the honey, soy sauce, and brown sugar in a pot. Stir in a mix of water and cornstarch to thicken.
06 - Brush pork with glaze and pop it under the broiler for 3 minutes to create a sticky coating. Let it rest a few minutes before cutting.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - Poking small holes in the tenderloin helps it soak up flavors better.
02 - Use a skillet that can go straight from the stovetop to the oven for less hassle.
