Korean Beef Rice Bowl (Print Version)

Flavor-packed Korean beef served on rice. Quick and easy, done in 25 minutes. Ideal for dinner or meal prep.

# Ingredients:

→ Meat

01 - 1 lb ground beef (80/20 mix)
02 - Season with salt and pepper as needed

→ Flavor Boosters

03 - 2 tbsp soy sauce
04 - 1 tbsp sesame oil
05 - 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
06 - 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
07 - 2 green onions, sliced

→ Base and Extras

08 - 2 cups of cooked white rice
09 - Sprinkle of sesame seeds
10 - More chopped green onions, for topping
11 - Extras to try: fried egg, kimchi, or cucumber slices

# Steps:

01 - Rinse your rice and cook it how the packaging says. Let it cool. You'll want about 2 cups ready.
02 - In a big pan, crumble and cook the ground beef on medium heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
03 - Drain off extra grease, if any. Toss in the garlic and ginger. Cook for a minute or two until the smell is lovely.
04 - Pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil. Stir in the green onions. Add a little salt and pepper. Let it all simmer for 2 minutes.
05 - Scoop rice into bowls. Add the beef mixture on top and sprinkle with sesame seeds, extra green onions, or optional toppings.
