Loaded Bacon Cheese Fries (Print Version)

Golden fries topped with melty cheddar, savory bacon, and tangy sour cream. A bold, crowd-pleasing snack.

# Ingredients:

→ Fries Base

01 - 1 lb (450g) frozen French fries (or homemade fries)
02 - Salt and pepper, to taste

→ Toppings

03 - 8 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
04 - 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
05 - 1/2 cup sour cream
06 - 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
07 - 1/4 cup jalapeños, sliced (optional)
08 - 1 tsp garlic powder
09 - Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

# Steps:

01 - Preheat your oven as per the frozen fries package instructions. Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake until crispy and golden brown.
02 - Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess fat and crumble when cooled.
03 - Remove the baked fries from the oven. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the fries, followed by crumbled bacon. Return them to the oven for 5–7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
04 - Take the fries out of the oven. Sprinkle with garlic powder, jalapeños (if using), and season with salt and pepper. Drizzle with sour cream and garnish with chopped green onions and parsley.
05 - Serve the loaded fries immediately while hot and melty.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - Customize the toppings to your preference by adding diced tomatoes, hot sauce, or roasted vegetables.
02 - Use smoked cheddar or smoked paprika for a smoky flavor.
03 - Pair with dipping sauces like spicy ranch, blue cheese dressing, or smoky aioli for added flavor.
04 - For a vegetarian version, omit the bacon and substitute with plant-based cheese and toppings.
