Brown the ground beef and sausage in a large skillet. Add onions, garlic, marinara sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.

In a large bowl, mix ricotta (or cottage cheese), cream cheese, sour cream, egg, Parmesan, and 1 cup shredded mozzarella until smooth.

Spread a layer of meat sauce on the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Add a layer of noodles, followed by the cheese mixture. Repeat layers, ending with a layer of meat sauce, and top with the remaining shredded mozzarella cheese.

Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
