M&M Chocolate Treats (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Dry Ingredients

01 - 1 cup of sugar (granulated)
02 - 1 and a half cups of regular flour
03 - A half cup of cocoa powder (unsweetened)
04 - 1 teaspoon of baking powder
05 - A half teaspoon of baking soda
06 - Half a teaspoon of salt

→ Wet Ingredients

07 - Half a cup of melted butter, unsalted
08 - Two big eggs
09 - A teaspoon of vanilla flavoring
10 - Half a cup of buttermilk

→ Mix-ins and Topping

11 - Half a cup of M&Ms, plus extras to sprinkle on top

# Instructions:

01 - Heat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Pop cupcake liners into your muffin tray.
02 - In a big mixing bowl, stir together your flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
03 - In a second bowl, mix your melted butter, eggs, and vanilla until everything’s smooth. Slowly add the buttermilk into this mixture.
04 - Take the wet ingredients and combine them with the dry ones. Stir gently until the batter is smooth, then carefully fold in your M&Ms.
05 - Scoop the batter evenly into each cupcake liner. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick poked in the center comes out clean.
06 - Let the cupcakes cool in the muffin tray for 10 minutes. Then move them onto a wire rack to cool completely. Add more M&Ms for decoration when they’re cool.

02 - Don’t overmix your batter or your cupcakes might turn out tough.
