In a medium bowl, combine melted butter, crushed pretzel crumbs, confectioners' sugar, and 1 cup of peanut butter. Mix until fully incorporated. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of an ungreased 23x33x5 cm (9x13x2 inch) baking dish to form the base layer.

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine milk chocolate chips and the remaining 1/4 cup peanut butter. Microwave for 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until fully melted and smooth. This should take approximately two intervals.

Spread the melted chocolate-peanut butter mixture evenly over the prepared base layer. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to set before cutting into squares.
