Cajun Sausage Pasta One Pot (Print Version)

Throw together creamy pasta loaded with spicy sausage and cheese—ready in 30 minutes, all in one pan.

# Ingredients:

→ Seasonings & Cheese

01 - 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
02 - 1 teaspoon Cajun blend
03 - 1 tablespoon garlic, minced

→ Sauce Base

04 - Half a cup of heavy cream
05 - One can (14.5 oz) chicken broth
06 - One can (10 oz) Rotel tomatoes and chilies

→ Main Components

07 - 8 oz uncooked bowtie pasta, about 2 cups
08 - 1 pack (13 oz) Cajun andouille sausage, sliced into thick coins

# Steps:

01 - Toss the sausage back into your pan and mix in the cheese. Let it melt and get nice and gooey.
02 - Dump dry pasta in, throw on the lid, and let it go on low heat about 14 minutes til soft.
03 - Let the garlic sizzle for a minute in sausage fat, then add your cream, chicken broth, canned tomatoes, and a hit of Cajun spice.
04 - Slice up the sausage and toss it in a hot skillet. Brown the pieces about 5 minutes, then move them out and keep the drippings in there.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - Swap for mild sausage and plain tomatoes if you don’t want much heat.
02 - Toss in mushrooms, onions, or bell peppers for extra veggies.
03 - Be light-handed with salt since sausage and broth already bring a lot.
