Best Pineapple Bake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Pineapple Mixture

01 - One 20-ounce can of crushed pineapple, including the juice
02 - Two eggs
03 - 3/4 cup granulated sugar
04 - Two teaspoons of vanilla extract
05 - Two tablespoons of cornstarch

→ For the Top

06 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
07 - 1½ tablespoons of butter cut into small pieces

→ Optional Extras To Serve

08 - Whipped cream
09 - A scoop of vanilla ice cream

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven temp to 350°F (175°C), so it gets nice and hot.
02 - Lightly grease a 9×9-inch pan to avoid any sticking and make it easier to serve.
03 - In a big mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, crushed pineapple (juice included), sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla. Stir until it's smooth with no lumps.
04 - Empty the pineapple mixture into your greased pan and spread it out evenly using a spatula.
05 - Dot small pieces of butter across the top, and sprinkle cinnamon so it covers everything evenly.
06 - Bake the dish for about 45 minutes, or until the edges turn golden and the center sets. Stick a toothpick in the middle to check—it's done if it comes out clean.
07 - Take it out and let it cool down a bit before serving. It tastes great warm or at room temp. Add a scoop of ice cream or some whipped cream if you'd like.

# Notes:

01 - This dish works great as a dessert or a sweet side for ham and other main dishes.
02 - Give it extra tropical vibes by mixing in 1/4 cup of shredded coconut before baking.
03 - Leftovers keep fresh in the fridge for up to three days. Just warm them up in the microwave.
