Cheesy Tot Bake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 1 can (15 oz) marinara or pizza sauce
02 - ½ onion, diced
03 - 1 pound of ground turkey or beef

→ Seasonings

04 - A pinch of salt and pepper (adjust to preference)
05 - 1 teaspoon of dried Italian herbs
06 - ½ teaspoon of garlic powder

→ Toppings

07 - A bag (32 oz) of frozen tater tots
08 - ½ cup of grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
09 - ½ cup of pepperoni, sliced (optional)
10 - 1 cup of shredded mozzarella

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) and let it heat up. Either grease your 9x13-inch dish or line it with parchment paper.
02 - In a large pan, cook the ground meat and onion until browned. Drain the grease, then mix in the sauce and seasonings. Let it simmer for a couple of minutes.
03 - Pour the meat sauce evenly into your prepared baking dish. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella over it. Arrange the tater tots in a single layer on top.
04 - Pop it in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the tater tots turn golden brown and crispy.
05 - Add the leftover mozzarella and, if using, pepperoni. Bake for 5 more minutes, just until the cheese is melted. For extra flavor, sprinkle Parmesan before serving.

# Notes:

01 - You can switch out ground beef for turkey if that’s your preference.
02 - Pizza sauce and marinara sauce can be used interchangeably.
03 - Parmesan cheese adds a nice flavor boost.
