Smoked Salmon Tart (Print Version)

Starry flaky pastry packed with smoked salmon and creamy cheese.

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 6 ounces smoked salmon
02 - 2/3 cup cream cheese
03 - 2 pre-made puff pastry sheets

→ Seasonings

04 - 16 sprigs of chopped chives
05 - 1 small shallot, finely chopped
06 - A pinch of black pepper

→ Topping

07 - 1 tablespoon of milk
08 - A single egg yolk
09 - 1 tablespoon of poppy seeds

# Steps:

01 - Combine cream cheese with diced shallot, chives, and a bit of pepper. Slice pastry into 12-inch rounds.
02 - Spread the mixture on one pastry round, lay down the salmon, then place the other pastry round on top.
03 - Slice the pastry into 16 strips, twist each slice, and create a small hole in the middle for steam.
04 - Brush with the milk and yolk combo, sprinkle with poppy seeds, then bake at 350°F for about 30-35 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
