Turn your oven on to 350°F and cover two baking trays with parchment.

Whip together the cream cheese, butter, and eggs with a mixer until creamy. Add both cake mixes and stir just until blended. Scrape the bowl as needed for a smooth mix.

Gently fold in the chocolate chips on a low setting. The dough should come together thick but easy to handle. Pop it in the fridge for 20 minutes if it's feeling too sticky.

Scoop out roughly 4 teaspoons of dough per cookie, roll into small balls, then press them down slightly. Sprinkle the tops with colorful confetti.

Put trays in the oven for 8-9 minutes. The cookies need to look set but stay soft, not golden. Cool on the tray first, then move them to racks.
