Taco Bake Layers (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Meat Base

01 - 1 packet taco seasoning
02 - ½ cup water
03 - 1 lb ground beef

→ Layer Additions

04 - 1 cup sour cream
05 - 1 can (16 oz) refried beans
06 - 6-8 flour tortillas (8-inch size)
07 - 2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend
08 - 1 cup salsa

→ Toppings

09 - ¼ cup chopped green onions
10 - ¼ cup sliced black olives

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oven to 350°F and coat a 9x13 inch pan with cooking spray.
02 - Throw ground beef in a skillet, cook till browned, and drain fat. Mix in seasoning and water, then let it simmer for a few minutes till thicker.
03 - Spread refried beans evenly in the pan. Layer tortillas on top, cutting to fit snugly.
04 - Add half of the beef, some salsa, sour cream, and half of the shredded cheese on top of the tortillas.
05 - Place another layer of tortillas, then pile on the rest of the beef, salsa, and finish with the remaining cheese.
06 - Cover tightly with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Pull off foil and bake 5 more minutes till cheese melts and looks gooey.
07 - Scatter black olives and green onions on top before serving it up warm.

# Notes:

01 - Trim tortillas to make them fit better.
02 - Feels kind of like a lasagna but with a Mexican spin.
03 - Toppings are super flexible and easy to swap out.
