# Ingredients:

→ Base Ingredients

01 - 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
02 - 1/2 cup diced onion
03 - 1/2 cup chopped carrots
04 - 1/2 cup chopped celery
05 - 4 tablespoons butter, split into 2 portions

→ Soup Base

06 - 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
07 - 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
08 - 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
09 - 4 cups chicken stock made from bones
10 - 1 cup small pasta like pastina or orzo

→ Finishing Touches

11 - Fresh parsley, chopped, for topping
12 - A dash of lemon juice, to taste
13 - 1 large egg, beaten thoroughly
14 - 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, finely shredded

# Instructions:

01 - Grab a big pot and heat up 2 tablespoons of butter at medium heat. Toss in the onions, celery, and carrots, cooking them until they're soft and smell amazing.
02 - Mix in the chopped garlic and cook just long enough for the smell to bloom—about half a minute.
03 - Gently pour the chicken broth into the pot. Add turmeric, salt, and black pepper. Let it all heat up until it's simmering.
04 - Stir the pasta into the hot broth and let it cook until tender. Check the package for timing to make it just right.
05 - Turn off the heat. Drop the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter in and stir with the Parmesan cheese until everything melts together.
06 - Let the soup cool slightly. Slowly pour in the beaten egg, stirring all the time, to make lovely egg ribbons.
07 - Top with fresh parsley and add a splash of lemon juice just before serving for a fresh kick.
