Warm Chocolate Banana Galette (Print Version)

Puff pastry with chocolate, caramelized bananas, cinnamon, and honey for an easy, crowd-pleasing dessert.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
02 - 3 tablespoons salted butter, melted
03 - 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
04 - 7-8 ounces high-quality semi-sweet or milk chocolate, roughly chopped
05 - 4 medium ripe bananas, cut in half lengthwise
06 - 3-4 tablespoons honey, plus more for serving

# Steps:

01 - Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).
02 - On a lightly floured surface, roll the puff pastry into a rectangle approximately 1/4 inch thick. Place the pastry on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Using a sharp knife, score a 1-inch border around the edge. Brush the pastry all over with melted butter and sprinkle cinnamon around the edges.
03 - Arrange the chocolate in an even layer over the pastry, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges. Lay the bananas, cut side up, in an even layer over the chocolate. Drizzle the bananas with honey.
04 - Transfer the baking sheet to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are dark golden brown and the bananas begin to caramelize. It is okay if the edges get dark.
05 - Let the galette cool slightly before serving. Drizzle with additional honey and serve warm with vanilla ice cream, if desired.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - Use high-quality semi-sweet or milk chocolate for a richer flavor.
02 - Ensure the puff pastry is properly thawed before preparation to achieve a light and flaky texture.
