Asparagus Cheese Chicken (Print Version)

Chicken breasts packed with gooey mozzarella and crisp asparagus. Tasty, easy, and low in carbs.

# Ingredients:

→ Main Components

01 - 12 asparagus stalks, trim off the ends
02 - 4 slices of mozzarella cheese
03 - 4 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless

→ Seasonings

04 - ½ teaspoon oregano
05 - ½ teaspoon thyme, dried
06 - ½ teaspoon paprika
07 - ½ teaspoon garlic powder
08 - ½ teaspoon salt

→ Additional

09 - 2 tablespoons olive oil, extra virgin
10 - Squeeze of lemon juice, if you like

# Steps:

01 - Pop the whole skillet into your oven and let it cook for 15 minutes, or until the chicken sits at 165°F inside.
02 - Get the oil warm in a skillet on medium-high, then brown both sides of the chicken for 4 to 5 minutes each.
03 - Pack asparagus and mozzarella right inside each chicken pocket and hold it together with toothpicks.
04 - Sprinkle salt, oregano, thyme, garlic powder, and paprika all over the chicken.
05 - Turn on the oven to 400°F. Slice each chicken breast almost all the way through to make a pocket.
