Heat oven to 350°F. Put parchment or foil in a 9x13 pan, then spray it lightly with oil.

Combine baking soda, salt, and flour with a whisk to blend.

Blend melted butter and both sugars till smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, then stir till it comes together.

Slowly work the dry and wet mixtures together, and fold in the chocolate chips, being careful not to overdo it.

Spread dough evenly in the pan. Let it bake for about 23 minutes, until it’s a light golden color.

Let cool for 5 minutes, remove from pan, then cool completely before cutting into 24 pieces.
