Chocolate Cookie Bars (Print Version)

Soft and gooey chocolate cookie bars baked in a single pan. Packed with chips for the ultimate bite!

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 2 cups mini chocolate chips
02 - 2 1/4 cups plain flour
03 - 1/2 cup white sugar
04 - 3/4 cup butter, melted and unsalted
05 - 1/4 teaspoon fine salt
06 - 2 teaspoons vanilla flavoring
07 - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
08 - 1 cup packed dark brown sugar
09 - 1 egg yolk
10 - 1 whole egg

# Steps:

01 - Heat oven to 350°F. Put parchment or foil in a 9x13 pan, then spray it lightly with oil.
02 - Combine baking soda, salt, and flour with a whisk to blend.
03 - Blend melted butter and both sugars till smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, then stir till it comes together.
04 - Slowly work the dry and wet mixtures together, and fold in the chocolate chips, being careful not to overdo it.
05 - Spread dough evenly in the pan. Let it bake for about 23 minutes, until it’s a light golden color.
06 - Let cool for 5 minutes, remove from pan, then cool completely before cutting into 24 pieces.
