06 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

# Steps:

01 - Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and place a baking sheet inside to heat.
02 - Peel the sweet potatoes (optional) and cut them into 1/4 inch thick fries, ensuring they are uniform for even cooking.
03 - Place the cut sweet potato fries in a bowl of cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch for crispiness.
04 - Drain the fries and pat them dry with a paper towel. Toss them in a large bowl with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add cornstarch if using and mix well.
