Grab a big pot and toss in the milk, rice, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and raisins (if you're including them). Bring it all to a gentle boil over medium heat, giving it a stir every so often to keep the bottom from burning.

Once it starts boiling, drop the heat to low. Let it gently cook, stirring now and then, for 15-20 minutes. Check the texture—you want the rice soft and the mix creamy before moving on.

Take it off the stove. Stir in the condensed milk and butter until they're melted and fully blended. If it's a bit too thick for your liking, just splash in a little extra milk to loosen it up.

Spoon it into bowls, sprinkle with cinnamon, and toss on a few more raisins, if you'd like. Enjoy it warm right away, or chill it in the fridge for a cool treat later!
